New Marriable Blog!
Written by Admin
Wednesday, 11 April 2007
You've asked, we've listened!

We're pleased to announce the launch of our new marriable blog, Babble of the Sexes.  Hayley and Michael DiMarco will be blogging about surviving singlehood and bringing in popular themes from their books Marriable and The Art of dating series.

The official launch is Monday following the couple's speaking event to singles at Charles Stanley’s church, First Baptist Atlanta this weekend, but you can get a sneak peak at the blog now featuring a review of this week’s episode of The Bachelor, a top ten list of things not to do when being dumped, and more!

We’ll also be featuring single guest bloggers that are still living life in the trenches, with a fabulous article (we’ve already read) slated to post by Monday.

So if you're ready for a realistic, honest, and funny take on the heartache and headaches that attempt to define our single years on an almost daily basis, mosey on over to babbleofthesexes.com!  We promise, we'll be encouraging, genuine, and remember that none of us are righteous, not even one.  So telling your first date that you want eight kids will not be laughed...ok, yeah, we'll ride you for that one.  But we'll laugh in love!

Come over and bookmark us won't you?

Written by Admin
Sunday, 02 July 2006

Rejection happens.

And it's never fun. But with the right perspective, you can turn it into something positive. Learn how to view rejection as an art form instead of a painful experience that requires healing. In The Art of Rejection you'll find:

  • Reasons why it's okay to break up
  • Do's and Don'ts for calling it quits
  • What to do (and not do) when rejection happens to you
  • Why you can never (ever!) still be friends

Whether you're the Rejecter or the Rejected, this book is for you! Take it from two people who have done it all wrong so you can do it right. Hayley and Michael DiMarco prove that you, too, can appreciate the art of rejection.

Searching for the Right Mix—Does Chemistry Count?
Contributed by Aaron
Monday, 24 October 2005
My roommate is a dope dealer.

Actually, he’s a pharmacist.

Although he's the last person on earth who would be involved in dealing illegal, illicit drugs, I've appropriately nicknamed him to capture the irony.

Now if you ask the dope dealer, he'll likely tell you that chemistry is vital to making successful meds. Without the right combo of elements, everyone involved is going to remain sick, get hurt or get in trouble.

Now, when it comes to relationships, how important is chemistry?

Once upon a time (okay, it was this past summer), I caught wind that a girl I knew was "interested" in me. I was relatively attracted to her and knew she was a great person, but I hadn't really thought about going after her. Still, I decided to investigate—no harm, right?

Wrong.

What About Bob? My Search for Mr. Marriable
Contributed by Suzie
Monday, 03 October 2005

Quote from Marriable:

“Attention, men! Women want to feel feminine, and the quickest way to help them feel feminine is to be masculine.”

At first glance, he had all the desirables a girl could want. “Bob” seemed outgoing, kind, and in two words—excessively handsome!

When I walked into the aerobics class I was teaching, he startled me. I’m not kidding. He was that good looking. Attempting to play it cool, I made sure not to pay undue attention to our newest member, but I found it hard to concentrate.

A few weeks later, Bob made his move and asked when we could get together. I discovered we shared the same faith, and before I could stop it, my heart was doing flip-flops. Could this wonder-man be the one? Everything within me wanted to find out…
