Your friend asked you over a double caramel macchiato, your mom asked
you over the phone when you complained about your dating woes, or in my
case – a date asked me just a few weeks ago.
Why haven’t I found the one?
“Well, it’s complicated….” I was tempted to pontificate. I almost
started stuttering, but managed to spit out the reason my last
boyfriend took a hike. It was lame, because I made it sound like I have
no issues. Translation: I’m 32 and single but it’s all“their fault.”
Men just can’t commit. What do you want me to do about it, huh?!?
Pathetic.
It's official, Hayley and Michael DiMarco's latest book, Marriable- Taking the Desperate Out of Dating is now in stores nationwide! Hayley is the bestselling author of Dateable and Mean Girls and her husband is General Manager of their publishing company, Hungry Planet.
Marriable combines Hungry Planet's signature cutting-edge book design
with wit and humor rarely found in other books on dating. One
flip through Marriable is bound to elicit a chuckle or giggle, while
Hayley and Michael's observations of dating rituals and single culture are
insightful and sometimes controversial. What else would you
expect from them anyhow?!
Marriable isn't a typical dating guidebook. The type of book you're thinking
about offers a fifteen-step program, a scientific formula, or tries to
over-spiritualize the process. Those books don't have chapter titles like these:
"How Being 'Just Friends' is a Waste of Time" or "Nice Guys Really Do
Finish Last". Newlyweds Hayley and Michael DiMarco offer practical
wisdom for surviving singleness in the trenches. Writing from their
experiences of doing it all wrong so you can do it right, Hayley and
Michael set fire to the so-called "rules for dating success" and give
you real dating advice that won't send a potential life mate running in
the opposite direction. With a witty he said/she said style, the
DiMarcos will help you expose and eliminate your desperate dating
habits by helping you understand yourself and the opposite sex.
Excerpts and interviews from Hayley and Michael will be posted soon. In the meantime, check out Marriable- Taking the Desperate Out of Dating at your local bookstore or purchase it online.

Try marriable.com's arcade for online date fun! Post competing high
scores for bragging rights or maybe use your Simon high score as an
ice-breaker email; "Bet you can't beat my score!"
Heck, even if you don't use the arcade as a dating tool, it's a perfect
place to save the world from Space Invaders (without being a
Scientologist) even if you can't yet muster the courage to ask her out.
:-P
